Three parallel grid-connected inverters are considered as a case study. Then, the control system design guidelines are suggested based on multivariable control theory with considering the proposed grid voltage feedforward method and coupling effect among inverters.
The main circuit topology is a single-phase grid-connected inverter with LCL filter. The repetitive dual-loop control method is adopted. The outer loop is controlled by the RC, which makes the grid-connected current ig track the sinusoidal reference iref without a steady-state error.
For ensuring an efficient operation of the grid-connected system, with PV or wind generators, it is essential for inverters to have an optimum operation. An effective inverter operation can be achieved by applying proper inverter control (Ebrahimi et al. 2015).
In general, such coupling effect is not taken into account for modeling and controller design. For single grid-connected inverter, despite good performance, the system tends to become instable with parallel connection of other inverters.
