We can calculate the daily kW solar panel generation for any panel at any location using this formula. Probably, the most difficult thing is to figure out how much sun you get at your location (in terms of peak sun hours).
The calculator will do the calculation for you; just slide the 1st wattage slider to '100' and the 2nd sun irradiance slider to '5.79', and you get the result: A 100-watt solar panel installed in a sunny location (5.79 peak sun hours per day) will produce 0.43 kWh per day.
A 1kW solar panel system typically consists of 3-4 panels (each 300-350W) and produces: 1. 4-5 units per day under ideal sunlight conditions. 2. 120-150 units per month. 3. 1,500-1,800 units per year. This is sufficient for running basic home appliances like lights, fans, refrigerators, and TVs.
Figure 1 shows PV generation in watts for a solar PV system on 11 July 2020, when it was sunny throughout the day and on 13 July when there was a mixture of sun and cloud. A south facing solar PV system will tend to generate more around noon.
