Abstract—This paper develops an inductive power transfer (IPT) system with stable output power based on a Class E/EF inverter. Load-independent design of Class E/EF inverter has recently attracted widespread interest. However, applying this design to IPT systems has proven challenging when the coupling coeficient is weak.
Power conversion raises harmonics, which can cause increased losses and decreased power stability. The limitations of conventional inverters can be addressed by using the technological innovations of multilevel inverters.
Likewise, wind turbine inverters play a key role in converting variable frequency AC power produced by wind turbines into stable, grid-compatible AC power. These inverters must handle the volatility of wind energy to ensure consistent and reliable power delivery to the grid.
The most crucial need for multilevel inverters is the minimization of total harmonic distortion that can be present at the output side of the DC/AC inverter for both voltage and current waveforms. This study proposes a system that consists of five distinct renewable energy sources with output voltages of 1E, 2E, 3E, 4E, and 21E.
