The capital cost and energy output are adjusted for the time value of money using the discount rate.
By means of technical economics, the potential value and development prospects of energy storage technologies can be revealed from the perspective of investors or decision-makers to better facilitate the deployment and progress of energy storage technologies.

This article evaluates the economic performance of China's energy storage technology in the present and near future by analyzing technical and economic data using the levelized cost method.
