The proposed dual-time scale strategy simultaneously guarantees the energy supply and demand balance constraints for the typical day and the hydrogen-battery energy storage state constraints on the year-round scale but at the cost of more variables and constraints.
The dual-time scale collaborative optimization model for short- and long-term energy storage is established based on the intraday and interday states superposition strategy. Furthermore, the nonlinear variable operation characteristics of electric-hydrogen conversion equipment are considered.
The dual-time scale storage inventories coupling relationship is described based on intraday and interday states superposition strategy. Firstly, the renewable power dataset of the planning year is successively clustered into N typical days by quarter through clustering algorithm.
The same power stage can also be operated as a synchronous boost to drive a DC load with configurable constant current and constant voltage (CC-CV) limits from an energy storage system, such as a lead acid battery.
The time scale of the equipment power variable is 4*24, with each typical day characterizing all natural days within that quarter. The time scale of the charge state variable of the hydrogen-battery energy storage system is 365*24, and the energy storage state periodicity constraints are imposed throughout the year rather than on each typical day.
As a synchronous boost converter, the system can drive a DC load up to 45 V and 1-A current with close to a 92% efficiency level. This system works as a CC-CV limited power supply with configurable CC and CV limits. The system is especially suitable for DC loads that must be driven in CC mode, such as LED string and so forth.
